PILOT BENEFITS
How do the Plastics Pirate mobile pyrolysis plants benefit the environment?
PLASTICS PIRATE TURNS PLASTIC WASTE INTO FUEL ONSITE WHERE THE PLASTIC IS LOCATED. THE PLASTIC WE PROCESS IS REMOVED FROM THE WASTE STREAM AND THE FUELS PRODUCED BY OUR PLANTS HAVE UP TO 70% LESS EMISSIONS THAN FOSSIL FUELS.
What makes the Plastics Pirate pyrolysis systems different to other plastic pyrolysis plants?
OUR JOINT VENTURE PARTNERS SCARABTECH HAVE DEVELOPED THE WORLD’S ONLY MOBILE PYROLYSIS PLANTS ABLE TO CONVERT PLASTIC INTO USABLE FUELS ONSITE WITHOUT THE REQUIREMENT FOR FURTHER PROCESSING.
THESE EFFICIENT SMALL-SIZE, HIGH-YIELD PLASTIC TO ENERGY MACHINES ARE MOBILE AND SCALABLE, MEANING THEY CAN ACCESS PLASTIC WASTE STREAMS MOST PYROLYSIS SYSTEMS CAN’T.
PLASTICS PIRATE’S COOK SHIRE PILOT AIMS TO PROVE OUR PLANTS ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING SPECIFIC FUELS FROM SPECIFIC PLASTICS ON A COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL SCALE.
Isn’t burning plastics bad?
WE AREN’T BURNING OR INCINERATING PLASTIC, BUT TURNING IT INTO A GAS IN A CONTAINED, OXYGEN-FREE ENVIRONMENT.
OUR PYROLYSIS SYSTEM WASTES ALMOST NOTHING, WITH THE GAS CONDENSED INTO LOW ASH AND SULPHUR USABLE FUELS, RECIRCULATED INTO THE REACTOR OR BURNT OFF AND THE 4% CARBON BLACK RESIDUE IS ALSO USEABLE.
OUR PLANTS ARE SELF-SUSTAINABLE, POWERED OFF THEIR OWN BYPRODUCTS OF PYROLYSIS AND VIRTUALLY EMISSION-FREE.
How much area does each Plastics Pirate mobile pyrolysis plant take up?
EACH PLASTICS PIRATE MOBILE PYROLYSIS PLANT FITS IN AN ENCLOSURE EQUIVALENT TO A 20′ SHIPPING CONTAINER IN FOOTPRINT SIZE.
UP TO 5 PYROLYSIS PLANTS CAN BE DAISY-CHAINED IN ONE CONTAINER FOR LARGER VOLUMES.
How do we know the Plastics Pirate mobile pyrolysis plants work and are safe?
PYROLYSIS IS A GLOBALLY PROVEN TECHNOLOGY THAT OCCURS IN A COMPLETELY SEALED, OXYGEN-FREE, HEAT-DRIVEN REACTOR THAT TURNS MOST OF THE GAS PRODUCED INTO OIL AS IT COOLS.
PLASTICS PIRATE MOBILE PYROLYSIS PLANTS ARE CRAFTED BY OUR SOUTH AFRICAN-BASED JOINT VENTURE PARTNERS SCARABTECH WHO HAVE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN DEVELOPING RENEWABLE ENERGY TECHNOLOGY AND POWER THEIR WORKSHOP AND VEHICLES ON FUEL PRODUCED BY THE PLANT.
THE PLANTS ARE CONTAINERISED, SELF-SUFFICIENT AND EFFICIENT, DIGITALLY CONTROLLED WITH BUILT-IN SAFETY REDUNDANCIES ENGINEERED BY INDUSTRY EXPERTS.
THEY ARE NOT PRESSURISED AND MEET STRINGENT EUROPEAN UNION ENVIRONMENTAL, EMISSIONS AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS.
PLASTICS PIRATE CAN PROVIDE TECHNICAL DETAILS ON REQUEST OR ORGANISE A DEMONSTRATION OF HOW THE PLANT WORKS.
What happens to the oil produced by the pyrolysis process?
DURING OUR PILOT PHASE, WE WILL DETERMINE THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FEEDSTOCK, PLANT OPERATION AND PROPERTIES OF OIL OFFTAKE.
THIS WILL DETERMINE MARKETS FOR THE OFFTAKE, RANGING FROM FUEL FOR YOUR VEHICLES, FARM MACHINERY, MARINE ENGINE, OR GENERATOR, OR FOR FURTHER REFINING OR FOR THE REAL GAME-CHANGER, RE-USE IN PLASTIC PRODUCTION.
WE WILL ALSO BE USING FUEL PRODUCED FROM OCEAN PLASTICS TO POWER THE PROCESSOR, OUR 24-METRE BARGE.
AND WE HAVE OTHER PLANET-SAVING, TREASURE-HUNTING AND GAME-CHANGING TARGETS IN OUR SIGHTS.

Are there dangerous emissions?
THERE ARE ALMOST NO EMISSIONS FROM OUR PYROLYSIS PROCESS, ONLY MILD MACHINERY NOISE AND THEY PRODUCE NO WASTE WATER.
OUR OIL ALSO OFFERS A LOW CARBON ALTERNATIVE WITH UP TO 72% LESS CARBON EMISSIONS THAN FROM REGULAR FUELS.
How much plastic can the Plastics Pirate mobile pyrolysis plants process each day?
PLASTICS PIRATE MOBILE PYROLYSIS PLANTS CAN PROCESS UP TO 1 TONNE OF CONTINUOUS FEED PLASTIC PER DAY, PRODUCING UP TO 800 LITRES OF FUEL PER DAY, DEPENDING ON PLASTIC FEEDSTOCK AND VOLUME.
